The killing of Breonna Taylor illuminates so many of our country’s flaws that it’s almost hard to know where to start:
I admire the many Black athletes who, instead of answering questions about their teams and performances, have insisted on focusing attention on Taylor. Using their uniquely high profiles, they have decided it’s more important that the officers involved in Taylor’s death be held to account than to explain to sports reporters and fans how it feels to be playing in quarantine conditions.
Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart had one answer to every question posed to him by reporters: “Justice for Breonna Taylor.”, “We want the cops arrested who committed that crime. As one of the leaders of this league, I want her family to know and the state of Kentucky to know that we feel for her and we want justice. That’s what it’s all about.”
opinion Yes tragic what happen to Miss Taylor but the NBA should also be focusing on what’s been going on in South Chicago...1000’s of mostly young innocent blacks have been murdered with really no substantive action taken to get arms around this what has been a serious problem for years

opinion Who do you really blame: the cops only doing their jobs, the judge who signed the order, the guy who chose their property, the law, the boyfriend who shot first, the drugs which were wrongly thought to be in that property, God, or a monkey called Phillip?
opinion Fuck the NBA. Go after no knock warrants. The cops were doing as they were ordered. The judge and the no knock warrants are the issue. Stop focusing on cops.
