Protests in Portland have turned violent with tear gas and rubber bullets fired on demonstrators who are besieging the city's federal courthouse. The protests were initially sparked by the death of George Floyd, who died while in police custody in Minneapolis in May.
He said Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler has even been attacked by Antifa-linked activists when he refused to commit to defunding the police. “The fact is, these Portland rioters have taken one tragic death in Minneapolis and turned it into an excuse to preach violent revolution,” Mr Morrow said.
