Newspaper headlines: 'No justice for my hero husband' PC Andrew Harper

The conviction of three teenagers of the manslaughter of PC Andrew Harper - who died after being dragged along a road by a car - features on several of Saturday's front pages. Speaking outside court, PC Harper's widow Lissie said she was"utterly shocked" by the verdicts, after Jessie Cole, 18, Henry Long, 19, and Albert Bowers, 18, were cleared of his murder.

It says restaurant and takeaway chains will have to publish the calories in every meal they serve, while similar labels will have to be placed on bottles of beer, wine and spirits sold in shops. The Guardian reports that women are being treated as"sacrificial lambs" as the UK economy contracts, with half of working mothers unable to get the childcare they need to return to work, citing a childcare survey.

What are those wankers laughing at

Look at their smiles! 😡 There was screaming, they knew that someone was being dragged behind the car. This verdict is ridiculous!

really shocking and sad case. murder & manslaughter are two different things though and we can't simply demand a conviction for murder if the facts don't support that

British courts, and the justice system has FAILED badly here. PC Harper was bravely performing his duties, WELL within the rights accorded by his role, and these SCUM who were BREAKING THE LAW, caught red handed in the midst of carrying out a theft, deserved a MURDER conviction

These bastards should have got a least 40 years, our justice system is letting down the public who suffer because of mindless thugs.

Absolute scum.

F*****g Sh*** The jury should have been shown their disgusting attitude to being arrested 😡 This sentence is NOT JUSTIFIABLE. THERE NEEDS TO BE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE INTIMIDATION,MADE BY THE FAMILY/OTHERS ,TOWARDS THE JURY .. Manslaughter? KARMA is waiting for the

Sentencing to follow. Hope it is a long long time locked up. Scum.

Those lads look young and sweet. I'm sure they will prove to be tempting fruit in the prison system. With a bit of luck, they will get the very life bummed out of them!

To prove murder there has to be a degree of planning to kill. Clearly there was not. Now, let's see what happens to the policeman accused of murder in the Floyd case. There was clearly no planning to kill.

They come from a society that believe they’re above the law and normal citizens are fodder to be abused, they are parasites feeding on normal people, and treat us with contempt-scumbags !

What are we doing in this country? This is a disgrace. The courts are so soft and out of touch with reality. These wankers should be locked up for life.

george03641870 I’m gutted for this poor family as these young thugs appear to have got away with murder. The Criminal Justice System is broken. It has suffered cutbacks for years & if cases eventually make it to court, real justice with appropriate sentencing appears to be rare.

I hope they get put i their place very quickly how dare they be so disrespectful

No fear....no conscious ...lawless UK . and a spineless not for for purpose jury .

The two on the right will cut a different picture 20 years from now.

Hopefully there are one or two people in nick who will gladly wipe those fucking smiles off their faces

Literally, they have got away with murder. For how much longer must we tolerate egregious law breaking from this part of society? Too many have zero respect for law abiding, tax paying civil society. And yet this is tolerated. We need more severe sanctions.

Another shambles!!

The jury was “ nobbled”.....fact.

This is just a kick in the teeth ! how can thugs like this not have the key chucked away ?

Bastards need to swing by the neck

Injustice!

Feral and untouchable. I work, I pay taxes I pay for my life They steal, cheat and have some kind of immunity from justice. Openly laughing at the death of our brave hero PC Harper. Is there a word to describe all this? Cos I’m fucked if I know one.

I come from a country where these criminals wouldn't even reach the courts. They would be killed much before that in what we call as 'fake encounters' by the police. That's what we need in this country to deal with such gruesome murderers. Shame on the jury!

STOP AMPLIFYING THIS RIGHT WING DRIVEL

They won't be grinning like that when they're getting bummed in the showers in the morning

Its absolutely abhorrent. Why why why. These horrendous crimals are guilty as charged. But NO our Justice system is corrupt and infiltrated by bullying convicts that that get to the juries in our system. 🤬

This is so unfair

By the smiles on their faces you can see they can't believe they have avoided that sentence - they seems to be incredulous and pleased with the verdict.

As a nation we're spiraling down a deep dark hole.. and it's scary. I saw someone ask 'Why be a police officer?' No support / backing, everyone out to get you, and no justice. These three are scum of the earth and now the tax payer is going to pay for them to have a cusy time.

Surely there’ll be an appeal. This is Despicable.

BorisJohnson Get this sorted.

Legal system, not a justice system. The only Justice in this world is the Justice you make. Unless you believe in karma and the bardo.

what sort of scandal rag is the BBC?

This has got to be a stunt a false flag no way .

Time and time again we see justice fail, in Scotland our antiquated legal system fails every day, there is simply no justice, the legal system needs a complete overhaul.

“Utterly” is that a big tit joke? Oh you guys
