Defence lawyers for alleged paedophile Malka Leifer have told an Israeli court she should not be extradited because her alleged victims consented to the abuse.
He raised concerns that Ms Leifer, a strict ultra-orthodox Jew, would not have her religious needs accommodated in an Australian prison. Ms Leifer's lawyers also mentioned the high-level political attention the case had received, alleging potential interference in the extradition. They recommended indicting the former deputy health minister, Yaakov Litzman, who is from the same ultra-orthodox sect, for interfering in the case to stop the extradition.
Ms Leifer's alleged victims said they were upset her defence lawyers had suggested they could have consented to her sexual advances.
Nasty peace of sht!!
Oh so now they are going to smear the reputation of innocent young school girls, typical and revolting. This woman is guilty, the people who allowed her to flee the country & hide her are guilty, the rabbis are guilty of staying silent, just like the Catholic Church.
Death sentence sick o
Israel, why is this woman not on a plane back to Australia to have her day in court?
They were children. They don't consent
Revolting. Really disappointed that she's been protected for so long.
Nice type.
Will she try the Brian Houston defence & claim the children seduced her?
Judicial system abuse at its best ...
Have I read this right? is the lawyer admitting in a way, that the behaviour of his client was abusive? If so, end of story. send her back to Melbourne. stop wasting our time.
that's funny. 'consented to the abuse' it wouldn't be abuse then would it?
They all say that. Blame the victim. Typical.
Desperation?
she absconded and does not want to face justice /says it all !
This person is a criminal, send her back to face the charges. She is the devil.
