A judge will soon review a magistrate’s ruling made in the case in December last year.Sisters Lisa van der Merwe and Claudine Schiels were disappointed when a Wynberg magistrate ruled,Magistrate Vanessa Miki ordered that a timeline with details of every incident of assault should be included.But, seeing as the alleged assaults happened almost every weekend between 1974 and 1979, they cannot be expected to detail each incident.
The judge president will soon decide whether Miki's ruling regarding the charge sheet of the oldest sexual abuse case in the country should be set aside.Source
