'Predator' Ghislaine Maxwell to spend next year in jail after being denied bail

Ghislaine Maxwell was denied bail on Tuesday and will be held in a Brooklyn jail until her trial next year.

Judge Alison Nathan rejected bail for Maxwell at a court hearing Tuesday. The famously glamorous 58-year-old ex of pedophilewore her hair in a high bun and had no mask at the hearing, and now faces 12 months living in a tiny jail cell with a narrow window and open metal toilet bolted to a wall. ‘The court finds by preponderance of the evidence that no combination of conditions could reasonably assure her presence at court, the risk is simply too great…the defendant is hereby ordered to be detained pending trial.’

Judge Nathan’s ruling came after Assistant District Attorney Alison Moe claimed Maxwell – who holds US, UK and French passports – was an ‘extreme flight risk’ who refused to disclose her finances and has international ties that could help her flee.
