Court arraigns women for assaulting Policeman

An Osun State Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, on Monday arraigned two women Rufiat Saliu, and Tosin Babatunde, for beating a Policeman in Ilesa.

The women, Rufiat, 22, Tosin, 50, and one other at large were charged for assaulting a Policeman, Sergent Akinro Dayo and one Olatiran Olasebikan by striking him with stick on his head. According to Police Prosecutor, Inspector F. M Adebayo told the court that the defendants committed the offence on July 11, 2020, at about 7:31 pm at Breweries express Ilesa.He disclosed that the defendants did assault one Sergent Akinro Dayo and one Olatiran Olasebikan by striking him with a stick on his head and inflicting an open injury on him.
