You need journalists who can understand a poll question. This question does not ask about 'rights' at all and should not be reported as such. When you ask people about *the legal right* to self-id, you find only 18% are in favour.

Of course self-identification isn’t the issue. Trans people should NOT be told they don’t exist. It’s the issue of MEN abusing these laws to gain access to vulnerable women. A penis, should not be allowed into safe women’s spaces.
