Dr Ellie Cannon self-tests for coronavirus every Friday as part of the Oxford Vaccine Trial.

Every week I have to take a swab at home to test if I have COVID-19. This is probably the worst part of the trial for me and not something I look forward to each week. The swab kits are the same as the NHS self-test kits you can order if you have symptoms.

Each week, 24 hours after I post my swab kit in the local priority post box, I get a text with my results, which have all been clear. Returning to the hospital after a month, I was reassessed to see how I had fared after the vaccination and how I have been generally.

Yes and no ... there are still a lot of different viruses and bacteria out there that you can catch 🤷‍♂️

What an idiot.

Ask them to go on night shift, I need CovidVaccine in the autumn round of flu jabs for my mental health 🥴

Side effects include, persistent cough, temperature and runny nose. People are advised to stay at home for 2 weeks after the vaccine shot...😑😑😑 yeah ok 🙄🙄

If they had that much faith they would have been rushing through challenge trials 🤔🤔 we will all have had Covid well before any vaccine appears 🙄🙄🙄

Great article. Fingers crossed your part of a success story x

Hope they don’t develop an unlicensed, untested vaccine like those given to Gulf War troops in 1990/91 🇬🇧💊💉👇
