China passes feared security law as campaigners warn 'the city will turn into a secret police state'

China's rubber-stamp parliament unanimously approved the new security law. Beijing did not announce the law but news filtered out via Hong Kong media. Critics say it will end the freedoms Hong Kong was granted at 1997 handover.
