Suvit confirmed that the authorities have planned to inject the anti-coronavirus vaccine into humans by October or November after it has been jointly developed by Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Medicine, the National Vaccine Institute and BioNet-Asia Co and experimented on macaques.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed he will shortly meet with executive officials of Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Medicine and the National Vaccine Institute to discuss the government's planned financial support for the making of the anti-coronavirus vaccine for use with humans.
Anutin, who earlier volunteered to be Thailand's first human to be put to test with injection of the anti-coronavirus vaccine, said the government will see to it that the vaccine be produced and usable to the people as soon as possible. The monkeys have already taken two injections of the vaccine and a third one is scheduled for next month. - Xinhua/Asian News Network
