Former Atlanta police officer Garrett Rolfe turned himself in Thursday afternoon, facing felony murder charges following the death of Rayshard Brooks last week. Rolfe is expected to be in court on Friday at noon.

"That officer actually kicked Mr. Brooks while he laid on the ground, while he was there fighting for his life," Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said Wednesday.

Brooks' widow said Wednesday the details of her husband's final moments left her appalled, and she had to leave the room more than once as Howard laid out the allegations, her attorney said. Rolfe's attorneys said he reacted after he thought he "heard a gunshot and saw a flash in front of him." "To be clear there is no agreement that our client is going to testify at any hearing. He has been cooperative. He went in ... and made a statement to the assistant district attorney and their investigator, he provided them with his cell phone," defense attorney Amanda Clark Palmer told CNN on Wednesday. "If there's any other law enforcement agency like the GBI, which I would anticipate wants to talk to him, we will be cooperative.

Charges laid by an incredibly corrupt DA who is fighting to keep his job..... Wait until these two are found innocent and we have even more anarchy and chaos cause of liberal stupidity.

nothing happening in Canada today? keep stoking hate

Canadian Officer, Daniel Montsion, charged with manslaughter (beating to death) of Abdi, in 2016 was suspened with pay & is still on the Ottawa Police Payroll 2020. Tax Payers have paid him over 1/2 a million so far ! Canadians are very tolerant of BAD police officers.

Hmm, so when a person is pointing a taser at a cop, the cop has to wait until he is hit and incapacitated for 10 seconds and the suspect can potentially get his gun? Is that the policy in Ontario Canada?

arent you happy cnn of the north

This is total BS the guy is a criminal and a drunk driver when they go to arrest him . He fights with them trying to get away, he’s a moron have zero sympathy for him . This is nothing like the Floyd case at all .

Three weeks before this that same DA deemed a taser a deadly weapon. Brooks turned one of those weapons on an officer who did his job to protect himself and the public. Brooks knew what was up: on probation for beating his wife, kids shouldn't have been drinking/driving.

Their looks could kill.

they should never be arrested.

So firing a taser at police and resisting arrest is lawful?

Resisting arrest, assaulting officers, stealing a weapon, firing the weapon at the face of an officer..what do you need to do, to get shot by the cops? Many white people have been shot for less. This was not a George Floyd situation.

Shit show, they even had Joe Regan on his last podcast saying they should just give him a ticket and have some place to go sleep it off? WTF? How about obeying, not fighting and definitely not taken his taser and shooting at him? Cops are going to be baited left and right now

Also report that only 2 of 6 Atlanta police precincts are staffed. The city is begging for police help from outside agencies. Who would want to be a cop in this environment? AtlantaBlueFlu letitburn

A drunk convicted child abuser fought officers in an effort to avoid prison, stole a taser, fired it at them and they defended themselves. walk

If the police walked out I would not blame them or stop them in anyway. Thanks to hatred and Division like u are The real problem
