In an email seen by JOE, the Kerry TD raised concerns from a 'concerned resident' of Cahersiveen.

In correspondence obtained by JOE under the Freedom of Information Act, Danny Healy-Rae forwarded an email to the Department of Justice, in which a"concerned resident from Caherciveen" said"if an EPIDEMIC of the COVID-19 virus should outbreak in Caherciveen the beds in this Hotel will be needed by local residents... This should be STOPPED IMMEDIATELY. Any empty hotels etc within Kerry bounds should be kept for KERRY PEOPLE".

Danny Healy-Rae also raised concerns about the lack of communication with the local community of Cahersiveen, something, and in his email Deputy Healy-Rae also said that this absence of information"does not help with the acceptance of the asylum seekers".
