“An employer who fires an individual merely for being gay or transgender defies the law,” conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote

WASHINGTON—The Supreme Court ruled that bedrock federal civil-rights law prohibits employers from discriminating against workers on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity, a decision that for the first time extends federal workplace protections to LGBT employees nationwide.

The high court, in a landmark 6-3 decision, said the broad language of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which outlaws workplace discrimination on the basis of sex, should be read to cover sexual orientation as well. Conservative Justice Neil...

that’s cool- we’ve got tons of excuses for firing peeps. My fave is to get the other peeps to work in a more slave like manor for the sole benefit of the wealthy enterprise owners.

Well after today’s abominable court decision, employers will be defying the law for barring any penis wielding man that ‘identifies as a woman’ from changing in a women’s locker room. When did the tiniest minority of a country become more important than the 50% of women here?

since no one does that...guess it doesn't really matter does it?

If SCOTUS can change the meaning of one word by whimsy- they can change the meaning of anything and the court risks its legitimacy and nobody is safe from activist tyranny. The Alito dissent rips the mask off of the six activists in this travesty

Got any statistical data as to how many homosexuals and the like are regularly fired from their jobs for being queer.... juxtaposed to how many conservative, Christian, White heterosexual males are fired because of “inappropriate” social media posts? I do.

Now, it would be alright to fire anyone that is Conservative or supporter or President Trump. No problem doing that.

How about for being a Conservative or having an opinion anyone anywhere is claiming is offensive?

That's why you don't given them a contract and hire them as an 'at-will' employee. That way, the employer can fire them without having legal repercussions.
