Sky News host Chris Kenny says there “must be a law and order response” when people break the rules “whether it is protesting when we are in COVID-19 lockdown, using violence against police or defacing a statue”

Sky News host Chris Kenny says there “must be a law and order response” when people break the law, “whether it is protesting when we are in COVID-19 lockdown, using violence against police or defacing a statue”.

“If we just chuck them in a police wagon, parade them before the courts, slap their wrists and set them free, there is no disincentive,” Mr Kenny said. “There simply must be a law and order response. “They must spend longer periods behind bars so they might see a downside to behaving like morons. “We cannot give a nudge and a wink to this sort of anarchy. “We must uphold the rule of law, show respect for people and property.
