A number of artists are speaking out in support of the movement to repeal New York's nearly five-decade-old 50-A provision, which shields police officers' disciplinary records from being shared with the public.

The push to overturn the provision of New York's Civil Rights Law comes amid a national reckoning over police brutality and tactics in the wake of the police-caused killings of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, as well as dozens of incidents of overzealous policing of protesters over the past two weeks.
