The mayhem in the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood followed a large, peaceful demonstration earlier in the day with medical workers demonstrating against racism and police brutality. It also came a day after Mayor Jenny Durkan and Police Chief Carmen Best imposed a 30-day moratorium on the department’s use of one kind of tear gas.
Critics have called on the Portland Police Bureau to permanently ban the use of CS gas on protesters.

Wondering why pepper spray can't be used coming from a mobile truck with turret hose that can spray a distance like a fire department hose. If it were developed, shouldn't be that difficult, it could be used on massive crowds of rioters.

Might be a great time to mention that Oregon was founded to be a “whites only” state. So most people that live there are racist or at least support it. This is exactly the treatment from Portland police that anyone who understands the history of Oregon would expect.

Well, no loss of a confederate statue. It was getting removed anyway. We should remake Stone Mountain, GA into a Black Leaders monument. Martin Luther King Jr, Malcom X, Elijah Cummings, Rosa Parks.
