NO FAULT 'quickie divorces could be legal next month' sparking fears it could lead to a spike in couples splitting up in lockdown, it has been reported.

These reforms would mean that a "no fault" divorce could be granted six months after a couple file to separate rather than two years. It is understood that "dozens" of Tories are preparing to rebel on Monday - after the plans were "sprung" on them., Tory MPs Sir Edward Leigh, Fiona Bruce and Sir John Hayes said they worried it could lead to "an immediate ‘spike’ in divorce rates".The MPs added: "Living in lockdown during the coronavirus crisis has exacerbated difficulties in many relationships.

MPs say they were only told on Thursday that the Government was planning to continue to the second reading of the bill.
