The brother of the pilot in the helicopter accident that killed Kobe Bryant and eight others in January, says his brother should not be held responsible for the crash.

, Berge Zobayan — the brother of Ara Zobayan, who died in the crash on Jan. 26 in Calabasas, California — submitted court documents Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court in response to a wrongful death lawsuit., filed the lawsuit on Feb. 24, the day of the public memorial service for the father and daughter."This negligence was a substantial factor in causing their purported damages," according to the documents.

Federal Aviation Administration records show Zobayan was reprimanded five years ago for flying without permission, while he had reduced visibility.

I am sure the pilot’ s family is hurting over his loss. His estate is being sued and his actions are questioned by the public. A beloved sportsman died ,his daughter and other friends also perished . The NTSB will determine the cause of the crash. Don’t compound the victim’s pain
