Former AFL coach and player Dean Laidley is expected to apply for bail in a Melbourne court after photos of him in police custody were leaked. 9News

Four Victoria Police officers have been suspended over the images of Mr Laidley wearing a wig and dress inside a Melbourne police station following his arrest for alleged stalking earlier this month.Deputy Police Commissioner Shane Patton described the dissemination of the pictures as "appalling" and "unlawful".

"The conduct should not have occurred – it is totally unacceptable, totally appalling conduct," he said."Outraged that pictures of my client, taken by some police officer, on the sly, when in custody in interview have hit the media. Typical #grossbreachofprivacy," Ms Giannopoulos tweeted. Mr Laidley is expected to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court today after he was remanded in custody on May 2.
