Anti-hopping law needed now and should be supported by Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Anwar Ibrahim, says Just president. FMTNews ChandraMuzaffar

It is time for Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Anwar Ibrahim to support an anti-hopping law, says Chandra Muzaffar.

He said PAS had won the state elections in 1959 but there were attempts to buy over state assembly members “and all sorts of manoeuvres took place” resulting in three of them crossing over. He said there were attempts to oust the ruling party in the federal government on Sept 16, 2008, while in 2009, the democratically elected government was ousted in Perak.Chandra, who is president of the International Movement for a Just World, said there had been too many defections and most leaders had “played this game well”, although they now spoke about moral positions and the ill effects of backdoor governments.

It is a must. All must support it.

Time to get rid of parties altogether. Party polarization today has created a high degree of division & animosity creating the sort of hostility for the opposing party that loathing motivates voters more than loyalty. Let's vote for individual based on merit & performance instead

Deyy, 22 months given to PH and yet, nothing!

When you have the power you forget everything you promised!

Not now

Ironic 2 call on persons who r welcoming 'frogs' into their party 2 enact anti-hopping law.

This anti hopping discussion is as old as time began. Talk talk but no political will. Politics is business for some.

Anti hopping law must be introduced to curtail MP's from hopping from one party to another where the power and money is.
