A top official at the Attorney-General's Department has not ruled out the possibility the US would access data collected by the federal government's coronavirus contact tracing app

A top official at the Attorney-General's Department has said it is extremely unlikely the United States would access data collected by the federal government's coronavirus contact tracing app, but has not ruled it out and will not release government legal advice on the issue.

Digital Transformation Agency chief executive Randall Brugeaud confirmed the app will not work reliably on iPhones if it is only running in the background of a locked device, but the Bluetooth issues were expected to be fixed as soon as next week. Mr Brugeaud said older models were more likely to have connectivity issues, but most problems would be resolved when Apple rolled out an update in the coming week.

No shit...

Its a legitimate concern that people may be concerned their privacy may be breached. What I assume they fail to understand is if they have Facebook, Twitter etc..they’re personal data is probably already accessed by the US., not to mention TikTok, which is a Chinese platform 🙄

NSA is accessing all the data - so much for privacy - it’s a scam !

Hilarious. Good luck with that you gullible suckers.

Oh, here we go, the rot has started to set in already, let's give the US who is run by a lunatic all our personal data. I can't believe what I'm reading, we are governed by idiots.

Fake news

lets not be naïve it is probably already documented in China...they have our data, our water and what else

Imagine downloading this app lmfao

Uh,ya thunk ? 🤬

Of course. The opportunity for Five Eyes mates doing each other's dirty work.

Why not. Looking like that may be the only thing it is good for.
