Join hosts from The South African Human Rights Commission as they address human rights issues and the socio–economic human rights for education, housing, healthcare, livelihood and adequate standard of living during the lockdown and the uncertain future brought about by COVID–19.

What about your rights to your livelihood and to have protective gear as an essential services provider on the frontlines of the pandemic? How to ensure your socio–economic human rights are not violated even post lockdown, when regulations are eased whilst government continues to fight this pandemic? They provide assistance for a variety of mental health issues, such as depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, suicide prevention and anxiety, and they run workshops for teachers, nurses, home based carers, traditional healers, police and church counsellors. Their call centre receives up to 400 calls a day from people needing help for their mental health.
