The Malaysian Bar said today that it was contacted by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan, requesting for law firms to be closed during the Movement Control Order .

Services “incidental to legal practice” were amongst the sectors allowed to operate, in the list that was released by Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, following the announcement by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to extend MCO into the third phase from April 15-28.
