SINGAPORE - From Sunday , anyone flouting the circuit breaker measures will be fined $300 right away, said Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli on Saturday in a Facebook post.

"From , we will no longer issue written warnings. Any offender encountered by our enforcement officers will be asked for particulars immediately," he added. Previously, first-time offenders were issued a written warning, while second-time offenders fined $300, and those nabbed a third time then charged in court.

He also asked members of the public not to send photos that they did not take themselves as some of these would cause enforcement officers to waste time pursuing past events.

Absolutely fine. But can we have clearer guidance please?

Should donate the fines to help essential workers especially healthcare workers or support needy families or students.

Enforcers, please set good example.

Good job

Aren’t the enforcers standing awfully close to each other? Looks less then 1m to me

It is about time. Stop warning start fining. Even that i think some will still continue. Make them go do social work to help fight covid in hospitals.
