Viral message of judges infected by Covid-19 fake, says KL court director

“Incorrect information. No one at the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex has been infected by Covid-19,” he said in a brief message to reporters who had texted him about the viral news. Meanwhile, Bar Council president Datuk Abdul Fareed Abdul Gafoor, when contacted by Bernama, confirmed that the council had received a copy of an advisory letter dated today, March 6, 2020, signed by Federal Court Judge Datuk Seri Mohd Zawawi Salleh on case management and mention cases in open court.

The letter, addressed to all judges and judicial commissioners of the High Court, Sessions Court and Magistrate’s Court in Peninsular Malaysia, stated that the two directives were issued following consultation with the Chief Justice.
