Correctional Services provincial Commissioner Delekile Klaas on Monday confirmed that Jacobus was serving a 12-year sentence for the rape of a 5-year-old boy and was out on parole, which has since been revoked.
"He had done seven years when they asked if someone could sign for him to do the rest of his sentence outside prison because he was sickly.
