Wouldn’t a better solution than putting felons who identify as the opposite sex into the prison of their choosing be to create special regional facilities for LGBTQI individuals? (i.e. New England shares a facility, the Southeast shares a facility, etc)

I’d argue that housing a trans woman with biological females could endanger the females. There’s no good solution here but generally speaking we lock too many people up for too long. Fixing that would help this.
