RIYADH - U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to discuss regional security, namely Iran, after the U.S. killing last month of a top Iranian general pushed the oil-producing region closer to an all-out war.

Saudi Arabia has backed the Trump administration’s efforts to counter Iran but cautioned against military action after a series of strikes last year damaged its oil facilities. Riyadh blamed the attacks on Tehran, which denies responsibility. “ we’ll spend a lot of time talking about the security issues — the threats from Islamic Republic of Iran in particular, but we’ll talk about a broad range of things.”

Article (26) of the saudi Basic Law of Governance stipulates that: “The state protects human rights in accordance with Islamic Sharia.” affirmed a number of basic rights, including: justice & equality KSA regulations included explicit texts aimed at protecting and promoting HR.

The accusations against Saudi Arabia regarding human rights are illogical and Pompeo's visit addresses how to confront the Iranian threat and ways to enhance cooperation with the United States of America

she envisages that with this invitation, she can show the Arab states that they are the hardliners and refuse to negotiate Through the Riyad Agreement, we notice the SA readiness for de-escalation and negotiations towards a peaceful solution in the region.

For Iran, dialogue is above all a way to whitewash the face of the regime and try to give credence to its false claims that it is a country that seeks peace, coexistence and understanding and is keen on the security of the region. At the same time,

By Human Rights, I assume you mean the constant violations of said human rights by the Mullahs' regime in Iran The Islamic Republic has caused the death & displacement of millions of people in the ME, whether directly or through its proxy militias. The World should act to stop it

saudi arabia is ready to end any conflict with iran in the region politically, while iran is continuing its expanding program in it, specially in yemen. human rights are guaranteed by saudi laws, the officials ask anyone to visit the kingdom to see the real situiation.

KSA has adopted new regulations on the personal status of women and human rights in all, along with reformed custody and anti-harassment laws. Additionally, female workforce participation is no longer a target but a priority that we are steadily achieving.

1)US State Department issued a circular earlier, through its embassy in KSA that it would not interfere in case of any American detainee on Saudi soil bcz he had violated its laws. 2)US will not protect AlFitaihi, after it has been proven that he belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Certainly, the American policy is among the most important strategies that have been developed in the history of mankind.Pompeo's visit to SA confirms that the Kingdom is the first pivotal country in the Arab region that can be relied upon as a key ally in combating common risks

Pompeo is smiling like a dog who knows he is gonna get fed.

Whatever he talks about, he'll be undercut by the traitorous Democrats, who as of late, hold their own talks with our foreign adversaries, like Iran

LOL.

Please mention the blockade of Qatar, the genocide / war crimes in Yemen.... and of course, don't forget about Khashoggi.

Bullshit politics is what that is. Iran has no interest dealing with Saudi's & especially Trump. USA should talk about economy after Saudi's pay the Billions they owe for the arms Trump gave them & as far as human rights, one word! 'KHASHOGGI'

The American people do not want one life lost or one dollar spent defending oil fields of the murderous dictatorship of Saudi Arabia, nor do we want to be involved in a conflict between two brutal dictatorships engaged in a Shia vs Sunni religious war. VoteBlueToSaveAmerica
