. In conversation with writer Murray Healey, he discusses how bagging the lead role in Twist has only left him wanting more, and working harder.
For a while in his teens it seemed it was music or modelling where his future lay, and certainly not acting. Although he had loved drama at school, with both his parents being such famous actors the profession presented too obvious a path for him. ‘I think taking time out to focus on music and modelling gave me the clarity to realise that I’m really passionate about [acting], and I feel like that’s where I’m meant to be.
The discipline that Twist demanded of him has also had a knock-on effect on his other ventures. ‘It’s really given me a sense of professionalism and maturity that I think I was lacking in the last few years. And it’s something I want to take into everyday life. I did a rehearsal with my band last week and in my head everytime we played a song, I was imagining a director saying “action” and how on set I’d focus and switch on and get it done to the best of my ability.
