Anti-gender discrimination legal framework in the pipeline

THE government is in the midst of drafting a legal framework to address gender discrimination, said Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. Dr Wan Azizah, who is also women, family and community development minister, said 16 engagement sessions with various stakeholders, including the Foreign Ministry, Malaysian Islamic Development Department, civil society groups and academics, have been conducted.
