The man from Brighton was thought to have infected five others at a ski resort in the French Alps.

A search is underway for guests of a conference in Singapore where a British businessman is thought to have caught the coronavirus.

The event at the five-star Grand Hyatt hotel was thought to have been organised by UK global gas analysis company Servomex, which has offices in both Asia and Europe.|The travelling British businessman passed on the bug to five compatriots at the Contamines-Montjoie resort in the French Alps The conference running between January 20 and 22 included 15 Singaporean guests, four of whom were referred to its National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

Grand Hyatt hotel spokesman Gerald Kheng, said the hotel had been deep cleaned after it was alerted of the health scare by Singapore’s health ministry on Tuesday. French health officials are now keen to find anyone else who may have had contact with the infected Britons
