The family of a murdered woman, whose body has never been found, describes their daily anguish as her ex-boyfriend killer watches on from the dock.

Leah Freeman, Ms Boyd's mother, told the court her first-born daughter was her pride and joy."Allecha didn't deserve what happened to her — no-one does — but I and the family need closure and for Allecha to be laid to rest with the dignity she deserves.""Today will mark 907 long and agonising days waiting for my child to be found," she said.

"This offender intended to foster a reputation for himself in the world of drugs in which he moved as a hard man," he said. "He does that knowing that that might not be assisting his case, but asks Your Honour to be made aware that he did take police officers to where the deceased may have been and assisted with finding her remains," Mr Wilson said.

Whether they ‘assisted’ or not both should stay in prison until Allecha is found. Even if that means life.

'I just like to bust the ladies out': Jill Prior's bold plan to keep women out of prisonFour years and 600 clients after devising a bold plan to shrink the number of women behind bars, lawyer Jill Prior is still shocked by the 'horror stories' she hears. Excellent piece on some very important work. Thanks ABC for telling the story of the compassion, vision and determination that is making a real difference to vulnerable women's lives. That is shockingly sexist! Why is the writing this rubbish. Women demand equality, not special treatment. I shouldn’t have to remind you of this! Because everyone knows that there's no such thing as a 'vulnerable' man, right? GenderEqualityWhenItSuits
