The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) cited on Thursday a regional trial court for convicting a former barangay captain of Barangay Banglay, Poblacion, Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental for possession of dangerous drugs during the implementation of a search warrant on June 1, 2018.

PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino expressed appreciation for the Jan. 15 decision penned by Cagayan de Oro City Regional Trial Court Branch 25 judge Arthur L. Abundiente against accused Honiforte Ladaran Redondo Jr.

“Redondo was sentenced to suffer the penalty of life imprisonment and pay a fine of P400,000,” Aquino said. Aquino said John Rey Roa, as a first time offender, underwent six months rehabilitation in a government rehabilitation facility.
