The Jerusalem District Court has once again granted accused child sex offender Malka Leifer's lawyers time to cross-examine the latest psychiatric panel who deemed her mentally fit to face trial.

The Jerusalem District Court has once again granted accused child sex offender Malka Leifer's lawyers time to cross-examine the latest psychiatric panel who deemed her mentally fit to face trial.

Three of the alleged abuse victims: Elly Sapir , Dassi Ehrlich and Nicole Meyers from Melbourne, all former students of Malka Leifer.Last week, the most recent court-appointed psychiatric panel of three submitted their findings stating Leifer had been feigning mental illness. "The court proposes to cross-examine the panellists late February, but these dates will not be confirmed until the Judge speaks with the panellists."

Victim supporter Manny Waks who was present in court in Jerusalem, told AAP this outcome is"unacceptable." "To me it was symptomatic of how we've seen most of the court hearings handled in Israel, complete chaos, defence lawyers constantly interrupting, it seems a lot needs to be done to reform the system here," Waks added.
