Jury selection in the Harvey Weinstein rape trial began this week with a diverse pool of prospective jurors. New Yorkers, young and old, of varying ethnicity, gathered in State Supreme Court in Manhattan for what is arguably the most anticipated trial of the #MeToo era.
Weinstein, 67, is on trial for allegedly raping a woman in 2013 and sexually assaulting another woman in 2006. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of predatory sexual assault, two counts of rape and one count of a criminal sexual act.CNN spoke with one of the 120 prospective jurors called on Tuesday, the first day of jury selection.
