Fugitive former Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn 'fled Tokyo on a bullet train' before taking private jet to Beirut via Istanbul, Japanese government admits as it tightens departure security

Ghosn, 65, skipped bail nearly a week ago, fleeing Japan where he was awaiting trial on multiple counts of financial misconduct that he denies. Reports Monday alleged he had boarded a 'shinkansen' bullet train in Tokyo.
