Five people have been sentenced to death over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, but two top figures investigated over the killing have been exonerated.

Khashoggi, a Washington Post contributor, was murdered in October last year in what Riyadh called a"rogue" operation, tipping the kingdom into one of its worst diplomatic crises and tarnishing the reputation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The 59-year-old Saudi insider-turned-critic was strangled and his body cut into pieces by a 15-man Saudi squad inside the kingdom's consulate in Istanbul, according to Turkish officials. His remains have not been found. "We found that Khashoggi's murder was not premeditated," Saudi deputy general prosecutor Shalaan al-Shalaan told a press conference.

Saudi prosecutors had said deputy intelligence chief Ahmed al-Assiri oversaw Khashoggi's killing and that he was advised by the royal court's media czar Saud al-Qahtani.

Those five people who are sentences for death penalty for being accused of directly perpetrating the murder, another 16 got prison sentences for being linked to the murder. If you have any evidence which condemn the two 'public figures' bring it better than raising claims

the leader of the negotiating team that ordered to return Khashoggi to the Kingdom was the one who made the decision to kill Jamal Khashoggi & he's one of the sentenced to death This revealed the inaccuracies of the attempts to politicize the case.

Justice will be fulfilled and every person in this crime will be punished, as Prince Muhammad bin Salman promised, and he will certainly not keep his promises because he is a man who knows very well what is right means!

This is a clear and personal targeting of these officials. The strange thing is to insist on the charges not based of evidence. The presence of the ambassadors, representative of Turkey and the Khashoggi family is sufficient to emphasize the transparency of the ruling.

This confirms that the crime is individual and the Saudi leadership was unaware of the planning of the crime and would not allow such atrocities. And in this way justice is done

Targeting these saudi officials has become clear. But after the judgment was issued, the time has come for this campaign to stop, and whoever has evidence of their involvement , should to reveal it.

The verdicts in the Jamal Khashoggi case were strict and decisive, and the leadership proved that whoever was involved in this crime will be punished. The verdict is subject to appeal, whoever has other evidence must publish it.
