Jordi Casamitjana won’t date non-vegans and refuses to sit on leather sofas or allow animal products into his home

A campaigner who claims he was sacked for his ethical beliefs is demanding judges to recognise veganism as a protected category similar to faith.

The Act protects people against workplace discrimination based on protected characteristics including age, disability and religion. Jordi says he was fired without appeal after writing to colleagues about the issue and telling them of other ethical funds than the one suggested by the League.According to the Mirror, Jordi’s lawyers will compare veganism to religious evangelism as one of its key arguments at the employment tribunal pre-hearing on January 2.
