DECEMBER 21 — I am confused. Is Haniff Khatri Abdulla a lawyer or the keeper of the country’s image where the rule of law is concerned?
I have been trying to wrap my head around Haniff’s statement, which says that “such attacks also gave the people the impression that DAP, by the virtue of being part of the ruling government, was meddling in police affairs”. And Haniff would know that asking DAP leaders to zip it means he is encroaching into their freedom of speech.
