Sowore: You Are Tarnishing Nigeria's Reputation, US Lawmakers Tell Malami | Sahara Reporters The lawmakers said Nigeria under the watch of President MBuhari had failed to be an example of respect for the rule of law on the African continent. READ MORE:

United States lawmakers have written a letter to Nigeria’s Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, over the continued detention of pro-democracy campaigner and journalist, Omoyele Sowore. The letter was signed by six lawmakers including Robert Menendez , Charles Schumer , Cory Booker , Christopher Coons , Bill Pascrell and John Gotheirmer .

The statement reads in part, “Disturbing videos of the melee in court are circulating, which appear to show armed agents in court and Mr Sowore being placed in choke hold after which he was re-detained by DSS, though no new charges have since been filed to justify this re-detention. “We are pleased to stand alongside Nigeria as a democratic country.

"And as with all advanced democracies, this includes the lawful application of prosecutorial powers and actions as well as ultimate compliance with judicial rulings. In the case of Mr Sowore, this does not appear to have happened.”

MBuhari Oboi

MBuhari The problem of Nigerian lawmakers is that most of them are afraid of the politicalcabals boss at the head.

MBuhari I don't think there's any reasonable Nigerian who shouldn't be worried about the choice of actions in the country. Most decisions taken by the government to me has shown there's no affection btw the government and the people. We obviously need to close this huge gap. We need love

MBuhari Is it the same law makers that wants to impeach trump?

MBuhari Uk will not say anything because they know if Nigeria becomes free from their mumuciousness, they will be left out from the massive benefits they enjoy. Let the south east and south west go today, that is all for them. No more free lunch in freetown

MBuhari So US knows everything happening in Nigeria the incident in the courtroom, and our own House of Assembly is calling on SAN Falana to come explain and tell then what transpired in the courtroom. What an irony

MBuhari Stop telling lies. They don't have time for you in the face of the current impeachment impasse.

MBuhari Yet, Nigeria is the most valued brand in the whole of Africa! Lest I forget, is SR not going to count days YeleSowore is unlawfully abducted or detained again? Honestly, I was enjoying the counting that time

MBuhari Trying to take over the presidency you loose during election forcefully is not Tarnishing Nigerian reputation? US should mind there business

MBuhari So, the noise is not about DSS again, it now Malami. Una go de alright

MBuhari Oyaaa haters of PMB come and relief your stress on this post.

Yes, you are right Malami should wake up to judicial matter DSS is established to gather intelligent information for security purposes So the power to arrest and prosecute must be removed from their enabling Act by d National Assembly immediately The AGF is the Chief Prosecutor

Let him focus on Trump

Pls can you people ask sowore what he thinks of GEJonathan now,I hope he does not see him as an idiot again

MBuhari But these same people will still come here and dine with Buhari.

MBuhari If they were not expecting this, it means they are among the multitude who deliberately blindfolded, and deafened themselves to history.

MBuhari Even if the Nigerian govt try to intimidate the people and suppress their freedom of speech, one thing they can not suppress is TRUTH!
