Supreme Court Judgement: Speaker reacts to ruling says it’s a seal on Gov. Emmanuel’s victory

The Speaker, in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Mr. Darlington Udobong, said, “the Supreme Court verdict has finally put paid to the failed rumours propagated by the opposition in the state. It has also put the final legal seal on the victory of Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and to our dear party, the PDP.”

He congratulated Governor Emmanuel and the leadership of the PDP, saying “the fact that the verdict came from the Supreme Court is a clear indication that the All Progressive Congress has no justification to challenge the mandate of the people of Akwa Ibom that was given through a free and fair election.

According to Bassey, ‘‘The victory served is a victory deserved. It is deserved because the 2020 Appropriation Bill was also signed into Law today by the State Governor.” “we are grateful to God today because the Court has proved to the APC that the mandate Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and our dear party is holding is legitimately given to them by the people of Akwa Ibom State. It is indeed a sweet victory and I sincerely congratulate Governor Udom Emmanuel and the entire leadership of the PDP.” The statement added
