Mr Nixon, after learning that Republicans would not support him during impeachment, resigned before the House could vote to impeach him.
At the trial, senators become jurors and the chief justice of the US Supreme Court presides - that's John Roberts. While Democrats hold a majority in the House, Republicans control the Senate with a 53-45 majority. Two independents usually side with Democrats. But it takes a supermajority to remove a President from office. That means 67 senators - two thirds of the 100 members - would have to agree that Mr Trump should be removed from office.
This is his re-election campaign.
Lets see if the Articles get there....
The democrats have shot themselves in both feet. Be ready for another five Trump years.
Senate have already basically dismissed it . Back to business making up stories about Trump , but keep an eye out for the Durham report on spying. Perhaps a fellow by the name of Barrack Hussein Obama knows something about it .
