Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra on Tuesday, December 17, expressed belief that the prosecution team did its best in the trying to secure convictions in the 2009 Maguindanao massacre case.

“I have no idea as to how it will go but what I can say is that the prosecution presented all that it can,” he said.On the other hand, Guevarra refused to speculate on how Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes of Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 221will rule on the case.

Reyes is set to promulgate the ruling of the case this December 17 at the Quezon City Jail Annex at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City. Those killed were part of a convoy accompanying the group of then Buluan town Vice Mayor Esmael Mangudadatu to register his name for the 2010 gubernatorial election.
