Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Wednesday in Ibadan signed the state’s Anti Corruption Bill 2019 into law.
Speaking at the ocasssion, Mr Makinde said that the anti-corruption bill was signed into law to guard the resources of the state. Mr Makinde said that the law had no political colourations because corruption and underdevelopment had no political leanings. He enjoined every citizen of the state to alert the government of any unscrupulous activities, adding, “if you see something, say something.”
He warned civil servants not to petition themselves wrongly as anybody found doing so would face the law.
