PETALING JAYA: A magistrate will be charged for graft in Kuantan tomorrow, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission said, the second judge to be hauled to court for corruption this year.
Mohd Amin Shahul Hamid will face eight counts under the MACC Act 2009, the anti-graft agency revealed in a statement.Last month, a Sessions Court judge was charged with accepting bribes to only fine illegal immigrants nabbed by the authorities. He claimed trial. Azmil Muntapha Abas also pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of accepting RM5,000 to only fine six people convicted of purchasing a lottery ticket.
Bismillah, this is the rule of law. Besides judges, elite groups must be hauled to Courts if they are accused of billions financial misuse.
