This week, Myanmar's civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi will personally defend her country from accusations of genocide against the Rohingya community at the UN's top court.

She was a global human rights and democracy icon, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and a political prisoner who spent 15 years under house arrest. But this week, Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi will personally defend her country from accusations of genocide against the Rohingya community at the United Nation's top court.

The momentous legal case, which kicks off with three days of hearings Tuesday, will see Myanmar's civilian leader Suu Kyi lead a delegation to the International Court of Justice at the Peace Palace in the Netherlands to justify her government's persecution of the Muslim minority. It's a shocking turn of events for a leader once internationally renowned for her long struggle against military rule.

She is not fallen. She is telling her country's side of story about Rohingya community. We always hear about the minority and it's always a non-muslim country that has to defend itself! How come muslim minorities don't want to live in Muslim countries? What is the reason?

She would not care if noble prize was revoked. She mind about justice and truth. What Genocide?Where is strong evidnce? Don't just show dead bidies. This isillegal imigrants from Bangla muslim killed Hindunism people.

What defense will San Suu Kyi give, for all the atrocities

Murderer

Simples, she has become a leader of sorts and wants to stay that way, the civvies population cannot get rid of her, and she likes the power situation she is in,, when anyone gets into power they show their true Colours and ability, or lack of..EH!

Unique case. a suppressed person stood for suppressed, won noble prize but once got power self became suppressor.

So now she's a bad person just because she doesn't support western propaganda to save her own country and people? But when she was supporting your ideology, you decided to reward her Nobel peace prize. What makes you think that she cares about your views on her?

Terrorist aung san

There is no defense for what they have done and are doing to the Rohingya. Aung San Suu Kyi is SUCH a disappointment! 😢😪😟

Is there anyone thinking about the history.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi used to be seen as a symbol of human rights, and spent years under house arrest for promoting democracy Now, as Myanmar's civilian leader, she is defending the very people who had previously imprisoned her.
