THE ongoing slope enhancement project in the vicinity of Jalan Maarof, Bangsar, by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is expected to be completed by early August.

PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal upheld the eight-year jail sentence imposed on four Indonesians for smuggling 37 Bangladeshis into Malaysia two years ago.

The panel, comprising Justices Datuk Ahmad Zaidi Ibrahim, Mohamed Zaini Mazlan and Datuk Azhahari Kamal Ramli, affirmed the eight-year jail term imposed on the four men by the High Court. On Oct 17, 2022, the four men pleaded guilty to the offence in the High Court and were sentenced to eight years in jail.
