Parma, N.Y. -
The family of Maria Eichas sat in silence in the courtroom as the man accused of causing the June 2nd crash that killed their daughter pleaded not guilty to nine charges."As far as vehicular homicides go," said Raymond Benitez, the prosecutor representing the two victims in the case. "That is the highest count it involves some aggravating facts in this case."
"I’m not in the position to reveal all of her injuries but I can tell you that they’re serious injuries that she suffered," said Benitez. "She’s still going to the therapy, and dealing with some of those injuries." "I can tell you, that these types of cases repeat themselves through the year and throughout the decades," said Benitez. "People just don’t seem to get that drinking and driving leads to really bad results, especially nowadays with a lot more people taking drugs and the legalization of marijuana or cannabis."
