Zachry and Exxon and Qatar's Golden Pass project exchanged proposals Thursday to resolve the dispute, according to a lawyer.

HOUSTON — Zachry Holdings Inc., the construction contractor on the stalled Golden Pass LNG terminal, on Thursday exchanged proposals with the entities behind the massive gas liquefaction project that could resolve a dispute that brought work to a halt last month and put thousands of people out of work. The companies discussed three proposals to settle their differences, said Louis Strubeck, a lawyer for the Golden Pass project, which is owned by Exxon Mobil and Qatar Energy. He told U.S.

Golden Pass last week asked the court to force Zachry out of the project so that it could proceed without the contractor. Zachry responded by accusing Exxon, Qatar and the remaining contractors of “potential fraud.” THE FIGHT: Exxon, Qatar aim to rehire thousands of laid-off Golden Pass workers.
